Worship

At St. Andrew Presbyterian Church all worship services are guided by the principle that “lost people matter to God.” We always strive to be “seeker sensitive”, believing that our basic mission in worship is to lead people to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We take seriously that God has commanded all believers to share the gospel with an unbelieving world. We also take seriously the need to demonstrate the relevance between Christianity and the worshiper’s daily life, doing so in creative and culturally relevant ways.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is best communicated in a culturally relevant manner. We are also committed to reclaiming God’s gift of the arts as a means of sharing the singularly amazing grace of salvation through Christ. To that end we have fully embraced the creative and technical arts as one of the mediums of God’s message.

We believe that any worship service that invites God’s presence needs to be excellent. To that extent we plan carefully, we pray, we rehearse, we critique and we constantly look for people gifted in the area of worship leadership. People in worship leadership take seriously their calling and demonstrate a humble and obedient lifestyle.

We currently have two identical worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. Both services make extensive use of the arts, which include music, drama, visual arts, video and the technical skills of projection and sound.
